Orangeanimation Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed by the European Funds "Increasing innovation, preserving jobs and increasing competitiveness - an investment in the creation of a 2D and 3D animation renderfarm as well as hardware and software to optimize the production process of full-length animated series and films to 4K and 8K resolution."
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The project concerns investments in computer hardware and specialized software, enabling the creation of films and animated series in 4K / 8K resolution, as well as the introduction of a new service - rendering (creation of a render farm for the production of films and animated series). The Applicant's company is currently producing animations in 2D and 3D technology, but hardware limitations prevent the creation of products that comply with global standards, which are determined by digital TV, VOD and streaming platforms such as Netflix. The investments made will enable not only the implementation of process innovation (improved and accelerated production process) and product / service innovation (animated productions in 4K / 8K resolution), but will also enlarge export and promotional potential.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:- development of innovation in SMEs (implementation of two product innovations and one process innovation); the project will lead to the launch of a new product / service and an innovative process at least in the region - production of animated films in 4K resolution;
- investment in modern devices (computer hardware) and specialized animation software in 4K resolution, which are necessary to maintain the current production (production of series and animated films), for the purpose of diversifying the current production / services offered (in accordance with the new 4K standard) and for changes in the production process (acceleration and improvement of the animation production process);
- maintaining jobs at risk of liquidation as a result of the spread of SARS-CoV-2, creating two permanent new jobs and supporting the current operations of Orangeanimation Sp. z o.o. in order to maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise; implementation of the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Śląskie Voivodeship for 2013-2020, including in the field of Smart Specialization of the Śląskie Voivodeship:
- development and promotion of the Śląskie Voivodeship - the project in question will be implemented and maintained during the project durability period in the Śląskie Voivodeship.
PLANNED EFFECTS:- increase the speed, quality and optimization of the production process of animated films and series
- offering better quality products in 4K/8K resolution, as well as a new service for external entities (rendering of films and animated series)
- increasing the competitiveness of the Applicant (including on the international market), increasing revenues and employment
- gaining new competences and acquiring new knowledge, enabling further business and technological development of the Applicant
